Saw this clip of Stephen Colbert with Gloria Steinam and Jane Fonda baking apple pie. This is so totally beyond awesome, that words fail me in describing its awesomeness.

Especially the part where Fonda kisses Colbert the first time.

Enjoy.

That’s by far one of my favourite clips from The Colbert Report. Fonda seriously flustered him and knocked him completely out of character; it’s fun to watch him try to regain character and then just sort of mentally shrug it off – meaning that the rest of the interview/cooking show is actually Colbert, and not his character. Which is just so damned endearing. ;)

I get to see the show tape Nov 16 and Dec 6. I’m rather over the top about the prospect… (now to get back and see The Daily Show again).

Good point. That was my impression too. I definitely liked how he kept rolling with it. Not in character but he kept it together. And the little moment over the cinnamon, classic!

Lucky you to go see the show taped. When I was in NY a couple of years ago I tried to see TDS but it was around Christmas and the show was a on a break. I was surprised at how modest the outside of the studio was. I guess you have a more grand picture in your head, given that they are on TV. And definitely unlike the marquee in front of Letterman.

This skit was done brilliantly by three obviously
different personalities. Link to the new Women’s radio
