Desiring Machine

Ann W. Richards died at age 73 of esophageal cancer. A real shame, she was a firebrand, one of a kind political personality. In 2004 I was silently hoping that John Kerry would select her for a VP candidate. Might have made a difference in the election, and at the very least would have been an inspired choice that would’ve pissed off the Bush camp. She could have gave us a few more zingers like this:

“Poor George, he can’t help it. He was born with a silver foot in his mouth.”

Ann you will be missed.
